Quality Control Engineer – RMX

About the role

The Quality Control Engineer – RMX will lead quality‑control KPIs, specification analysis and the implementation of Quality Plans for a large‑scale concrete production plant. You will manage the mix‑design platform, drive automation initiatives, and spearhead 1‑2 quality‑improvement projects each year to boost performance and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal policies.
• Review project specifications and guarantee technical and quality conformity.
• Prepare technical proposals, mix designs and pricing data for the Commercial Team.
• Lead automation activities and manage the FireQ mix‑design platform.
• Maintain quality records, analyse QC KPIs and implement continuous‑improvement actions.
• Optimize concrete mix costs while meeting plant budget targets.
• Implement and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) at plant level.
• Standardise Quality Control procedures across all plant operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the Quality Control team.
• Develop calibration plans for plant machinery and laboratory equipment.
• Ensure truck‑mixer uniformity and compliance with NRMCA standards.
• Investigate customer complaints and support claims management.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead quality‑control initiatives and improvement projects.
• Strong commitment to health and safety compliance.
• Experience working in a large concrete production environment.
