R Engineer – Remote Contract – Up to $30/hr

About the role

We are looking for an experienced R Engineer to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will review AI‑generated R code and statistical workflows, ensuring methodological accuracy, reproducibility, and high‑quality analytical reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Audit AI‑generated R scripts, statistical analyses, and data‑science pipelines for correctness and best‑practice compliance.
• Identify and correct errors in statistical methodology, data‑wrangling logic, modeling assumptions, and reproducibility workflows.
• Generate reference solutions, detailed explanations, and reusable R workflows.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated responses based on analytical soundness and coding quality.
• Fact‑check statistical claims and model interpretations using evidence‑based reasoning.
• Apply reproducible research principles, including documentation, validation, and transparent reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience using R for statistical analysis, data science, or quantitative research.
• Strong understanding of applied statistics (regression, inference, hypothesis testing, model validation).
• Excellent written English (C1 level) and ability to explain complex statistical concepts clearly.
• Experience with AI/LLM tools for coding assistance or model evaluation is strongly preferred.
