Railway Track Alignment Engineer – 100%

About the role

ARX is seeking a Railway Track Alignment Engineer to join its Cairo office. The role involves delivering comprehensive railway track and alignment designs, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of railway tracks and alignments from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
• Ensure designs meet local and international railway construction codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with CAD drafters and other disciplines such as drainage, structures, utilities, and roads.
• Mentor junior team members and support their technical development.
• Prepare and review technical reports and design outputs according to ARX quality standards.
• Provide inputs for Bill of Quantities related to track and earthworks components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in railway track alignment design.
• Strong knowledge of Bentley OpenRail Designer; Civil 3D knowledge is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage design quality and coordinate across multiple disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
