Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner (RME)

About the role

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner (RME) is responsible for managing assets, spares, and preventative maintenance planning while maintaining the machine history data. This role serves as the site lead for the CMMS software, ensuring data accuracy and supporting engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the site‑level Subject Matter Expert for the CMMS, train engineers, and escalate issues to the AMET team.
• Maintain equipment, spare parts, and minimum holding levels in the system to guarantee technician readiness.
• Forecast and assign preventative maintenance tasks to achieve high equipment availability.
• Compile equipment performance metrics and machine histories, recommending improvements.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, place orders, and track deliveries while seeking cost efficiencies.
• Screen work orders, define scope, and schedule maintenance based on resources, criticality, and windows.
• Conduct equipment quality audits and identify safety hazards.
• Estimate work hours, plan parts for reliability projects, and maximize technician wrench time.
• Ensure all work orders are created, executed, and closed in the EAM system following Amazon’s maintenance cycle.
• Analyze downtime data and develop a warranty process to improve OEM uptime and reduce cost.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a site‑level CMMS expert and reliability maintenance planner.
• Strong knowledge of AMET standards and ability to lead improvement projects.
• Demonstrated capability to manage spare‑parts inventories and procurement processes.
• Experience conducting equipment audits and safety hazard identification.
