Remote .NET Developer (Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking experienced software engineers to help train and evaluate next‑generation AI systems by tackling real‑world engineering tasks. This remote contractor position is ideal for developers who can quickly understand unfamiliar codebases, communicate technical decisions clearly, and solve backend, full‑stack, systems, or infrastructure challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Work on diverse engineering tasks across backend, full‑stack, infrastructure, and systems projects.
• Review, debug, improve, and document code in various technical environments.
• Design or evaluate solutions involving APIs, databases, services, integrations, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Identify trade‑offs related to scalability, maintainability, performance, reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Write clear technical explanations, outlining why a solution works and alternative options.
• Collaborate with the customer’s team on technical reviews, implementation decisions, and problem‑solving exercises.
• Adapt rapidly to new codebases, frameworks, and technical requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong ability to read, reason through, and explain unfamiliar code or technical requirements.
• Experience building, maintaining, or reviewing production‑level applications, APIs, services, databases, or integrations.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals such as debugging, testing, code quality, architecture, and technical trade‑offs.
