Research & Development (R&D) Specialist – Pharmaceutical Formulation

About the role

Omega Pharma is looking for a motivated Research & Development (R&D) Specialist to join its team in Nasr City, Cairo. The role focuses on developing and optimizing pharmaceutical formulations for human and veterinary products while supporting scale‑up, technology transfer and regulatory documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise pharmaceutical formulations for human and veterinary products.
• Conduct laboratory trials and prepare technical documentation such as BMR, MFR and formulation sheets.
• Perform product scale‑up and support technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
• Evaluate raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
• Support stability studies and prepare regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with QA, RA, production and toll‑manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and company quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related scientific field.
• 1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical research & development.
• Experience in formulation development of dosage forms, preferably oral solid and liquid.
• Good knowledge of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical documentation.
• Strong command of English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
