Risk Senior Specialist

About the role

The Risk Senior Specialist will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Modupay's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. Working within a fast‑moving fintech/payments environment, the role focuses on identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating enterprise‑wide risks while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout and enhancement of the ERM framework across the organization.
• Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks that could affect reputation, safety, security and financial performance.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies tailored to the fintech/payments landscape.
• Design processes to avoid, reduce or transfer risks, ensuring business resilience.
• Analyse risk data, report trends, weaknesses and exposure to senior management and the Board.
• Facilitate risk assessments and workshops with stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive risk reports for executives and board members.
• Liaise with functional and operational managers to implement mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• Risk‑based thinking and strong analytical mindset.
• Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience in risk reporting and data visualization.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality service delivery.
• Proactive, forward‑thinking attitude in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative team player able to work across functions and geographies.
• Leadership capability to influence risk owners without direct authority.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• 3‑4 years of relevant experience.
