Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager will be based on‑site in 10th of Ramadan, leading all safety activities for Mac Construction’s urban planning and construction projects. This full‑time position is responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring safety policies to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve site safety policies, procedures and programs.
• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments and safety audits.
• Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks and orientation sessions for workers and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, corrective actions and safety metrics.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and site supervisors to embed safety into planning and scheduling.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses, perform root‑cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies, prepare safety reports and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction safety management, preferably on urban planning or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence safe behaviour.
• Organizational and documentation expertise for maintaining safety records and reports.
• Comfortable using basic digital tools for reporting and tracking safety metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment and model safe work practices.
