About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for an experienced Science Teacher for the Academic Year 26‑27. The role combines classroom teaching with leadership of the science department, aiming to raise academic standards and foster an innovative learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging science lessons across multiple grade levels, promoting deep conceptual understanding.
• Lead the science department by setting goals, developing curriculum, and monitoring teaching effectiveness.
• Mentor and support science teachers, coordinating professional development activities.
• Plan and implement the science curriculum in alignment with school standards and educational frameworks.
• Analyse student performance data to refine instructional strategies and improve outcomes.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets, and equipment efficiently.
• Collaborate with school leadership and other departments on school‑wide initiatives.
• Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the science program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related science field (master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, with some experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and innovative learning environment.
• Teaching certification or relevant professional qualifications preferred.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive background checks.
