Senior Android Developer

About the role

BlackStone eIT is looking for a Senior Android Developer in Cairo to develop and maintain applications for a wide range of Android devices. The main focus is building Android apps and integrating them with back-end services, working alongside engineers across different layers of the infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Design, build and maintain high-performance, reusable and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automation

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, different Android versions and handling different screen sizes
• Ability to understand business requirements and turn them into technical requirements
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces such as touch, and to use sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Nack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines

• RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading and performance tuning
• Open-source Android ecosystem and libraries
• Cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Git and continuous integration
