Senior Backend / Agentic AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend / Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure behind our conversational AI agents. You will create scalable APIs, orchestrate micro‑services, and develop autonomous agent workflows that enable real‑time AI decisions across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI architectures, including autonomous and tool‑using agents for real‑time customer interactions.
• Build and optimise LLM‑driven reasoning pipelines, memory systems, RAG pipelines and vector stores (Weaviate, FAISS, Pinecone).
• Configure and integrate frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain and Google ADK, and connect external systems via MCP.
• Develop modular tools, APIs and action handlers that allow agents to interact with enterprise systems and third‑party services.
• Implement scalable backend services using Python/FastAPI, RabbitMQ, gRPC, REST and secure service discovery (Consul).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud‑native deployments (AWS/GCP) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Conduct POCs, benchmark LLMs and optimise runtime, cost and latency for production‑grade agents.
• Collaborate with product, AI and engineering teams to deliver high‑impact solutions for enterprise clients.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational guidelines.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years as a Backend Engineer.
• Proven track record as an Agentic AI Engineer with strong backend expertise.
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs, designing prompts and building multi‑step reasoning flows.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI and Google ADK or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of embeddings, RAG, vector databases and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Experience building REST/gRPC APIs, micro‑services and scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab or Jenkins.
• Strong system‑design, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
