Senior Backend Engineer - Platform Architecture Lead

About the role

We are building a revolutionary energy‑management platform and need a senior backend engineer to define the architectural foundations for our billing and customer domains. The role combines hands‑on coding with strategic design, ensuring the system scales gracefully while mentoring a small team of developers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the billing and customer‑management domains using Domain‑Driven Design.
• Establish DDD patterns, aggregates and bounded contexts across the platform.
• Mentor 2‑3 mid‑level developers, conduct code reviews and enforce architectural consistency.
• Design RESTful and event‑driven APIs that can serve thousands of customers.
• Participate in pattern‑extraction and platform‑crystallisation sprints to evolve the codebase.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Proven ability to apply Domain‑Driven Design in production systems.
• Hands‑on experience building billing or other financial systems.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
• Understanding of event‑driven architectures and messaging systems.
