Senior CAD/CAM & Injection Mold Design Engineer

About the role

Auto Truck Co., a leading manufacturer of truck and trailer spare parts, is seeking a highly experienced Senior CAD/CAM & Injection Mold Design Engineer. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of plastic injection molds, from part analysis and design through to machining, assembly, trial, and final production approval.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete plastic injection molds, including core and cavity, parting lines, runner and gate systems, ejection and cooling systems, slides, lifters, and inserts.
• Prepare 3D mold assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings, and develop optimized CAM programs for CNC milling.
• Operate and program CNC milling, Wire EDM, and Spark EDM machines, including electrode preparation.
• Supervise and participate in mold machining, fitting, assembly, and trial on injection molding machines.
• Analyze trial results, troubleshoot defects, and modify molds to meet production requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation and coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in mold design and manufacturing, including CNC and EDM operations.
• Proven ability to manage a mold project from concept to final production trial.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, PowerMill, Mastercam, CATIA or AutoCAD.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC milling setup, operation and programming.
• Experience with Wire EDM and Spark EDM machine operation and electrode design.
• Strong knowledge of mold assembly, fitting, trial, and maintenance.
• Understanding of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and mold steels.
• Ability to read and create engineering drawings and troubleshoot mold‑related issues.
