Senior Commissioning Site Engineer

About the role

As part of Schneider Electric’s Installed Base Services team in New Cairo, the Senior Commissioning Site Engineer leads on‑site commissioning activities, documents test results and ensures all work complies with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and document equipment commissioning tests (SAT reports) in coordination with the Site Works Manager or Project Manager.
• Validate measurement instruments, report non‑conformances, and record required drawing modifications for “as‑built” documentation.
• Manage spare‑part requirements, track tool calibration, and maintain the event tracker for on‑site issues.
• Provide weekly reports on spent hours, costs and project risks, and propose corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate subcontractors, approve progress reports and ensure compliance with Schneider Electric global safety procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience, including at least five years commissioning LV/MV equipment.
• Fluent English and proven on‑site or electro‑mechanical design office experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Commissioning of LV and MV equipment (Premset, MCSET, PIX, SEPAM, Micom, Easergy, APC Symmetra, Blokset, Okken, Prisma).
• Familiarity with competitor equipment such as ABB and Siemens.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Outlook and testing software (Omicron, protection relay setting tools).
• Advanced knowledge of medium‑voltage/low‑voltage equipment, power stations and commissioning test principles.
