About the role

The Senior Document Control Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of project and corporate documentation for Orascom Developments' real‑estate and destination portfolios in El Gouna. You will ensure that all documents are accurately controlled, version‑managed, distributed and archived in line with company standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain document control systems across active projects, including naming conventions, version control and filing structures on SharePoint or similar platforms.
  • Receive, register, distribute and track all incoming and outgoing project documents such as drawings, submittals, RFIs, contracts and correspondence.
  • Ensure documents are reviewed, approved and issued through the correct workflow before distribution to internal teams, contractors and consultants.
  • Maintain a master document register and transmittal log updated in real time.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, PMO, Engineering and Construction teams to guarantee timely submission and retrieval of documentation.
  • Monitor document expiry dates, revision cycles and approval statuses, flagging overdue items to stakeholders.
  • Support the PMO with governance documentation, including risk registers, action logs, meeting minutes and progress reports.
  • Train junior document controllers and lead document control audits to ensure ISO or company QMS compliance.
  • Manage hand‑over documentation packages at project completion.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3‑6 years of document control experience in real‑estate development, construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with engineering development projects and familiarity with ISO 9001 document control requirements.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with document management systems such as Aconex, Procore or SharePoint.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation workflows (drawings, submittals, RFIs, contracts).
