Senior Drainage BIM Engineer

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm active in the Middle East, is looking for a Senior Drainage BIM Engineer in Cairo. You will develop, review and coordinate detailed 3D drainage models using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D, in line with project requirements, BIM standards and multidisciplinary coordination needs. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Handle drainage BIM modelling from project start to final delivery, producing clash-free 3D models with Revit and Civil 3D.
• Prepare drainage layouts, plans, profiles, sections, schedules and coordinated drawings, and BIM deliverables.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Roads, Utilities, MEP and Architectural disciplines, and perform clash detection with Navisworks, ACC, Revizto or similar tools.
• Support design and engineering activities, update models after design revisions and comments, and extract quantities and schedules from the model.
• Maintain documentation, model revisions, clash reports and coordination records, and assist the Lead Drainage Engineer and guide junior BIM modelers.
• Take part in BIM coordination meetings, model reviews and technical discussions, and work independently while collaborating with engineers, BIM coordinators and design leads.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Systems or a related field.
• Proven experience in drainage modelling with Revit and Civil 3D; strong understanding of drainage and plumbing systems.
• Experience in viaduct, at-grade and tunnel drainage systems, including stormwater, track drainage, culverts, channels, manholes, catch basins, gullies, headwalls, sumps and pump stations.
• Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in the relevant field is preferred.
