Senior External Auditor – Assurance (Cairo)

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior External Auditor to join its Cairo Assurance team. You will work with diverse clients, delivering high‑quality audit services and providing insightful accounting and reporting advice.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in audit engagements, collaborating closely with team members and senior staff.
• Prepare for and attend meetings with client management, presenting audit findings and recommendations.
• Develop audit reports, schedules and documentation for delivery to clients and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with client personnel and identify potential business opportunities for EY.
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals.
• Identify, assess and escalate risks and issues, ensuring work meets EY’s quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong academic record with a university degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA).
• Minimum four years of professional experience in external audit, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Pro‑active, accountable and results‑driven attitude.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, allocate resources effectively and communicate clearly.
