Senior General Accountant – Audit Background

About the role

We are seeking a Senior General Accountant with a strong audit background to join our Finance team. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries for AP, AR, fixed assets, cash, investments and adjustments.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and consolidated statements.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and inventory reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Calculate and file tax obligations in line with regulations.
• Assist with stock‑taking and inventory verification.
• Ensure adherence to IFRS, internal controls and company accounting policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.

Required profile

• CPA, ACCA or CA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an audit firm.
• At least 3 years of corporate accounting experience (non‑construction).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Hands‑on experience preparing full sets of consolidated financial statements.
• Experience managing related‑party reconciliations and working with external auditors.
