Senior Hub Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Hub Coordinator to oversee the daily flow of shipments at our hub, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries for our e‑commerce clients across Egypt. The role combines operational planning, driver support, and process optimisation to keep our logistics network running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Receive inbound dispatches from the central sorting facility and categorize orders by geographic zone or delivery route.
• Develop and communicate daily distribution plans, allocating orders to assigned drivers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing real‑time support to resolve operational issues and ensure route completion.
• Manage end‑of‑day processes, including receipt and reconciliation of orders and documentation from drivers.
• Monitor and audit driver wallets, ensuring timely settlements and escalating discrepancies.
• Train, mentor, and onboard temporary staff and junior coordinators on SOPs and best practices.
• Analyse workflows to identify and implement process optimisation opportunities.
• Coordinate return transfers of cancelled orders to the sorting facility after the 24‑hour holding period.
• Prepare formal handover communications to the sorting facility detailing shipment counts, seal numbers, tracking data, and status.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or shipping coordination, preferably with bulky or oversized shipments.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with drivers and internal teams.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to resolve issues promptly.
• Familiarity with shipping management software and tracking systems.
• Adaptability to fast‑paced, changing work environments.
