Senior Lead Architect – Hospitality Projects

About the role

Competent is seeking a Hospitality Senior Lead Architect to join its New Cairo office. You will be responsible for leading the full architectural design lifecycle of hotels, resorts, and mixed‑use developments, ensuring compliance with client requirements, brand standards, and local building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine design concepts from schematic to construction documents.
• Prepare, review, and approve architectural drawings and BIM models.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, engineers, and contractors.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and design quality to meet deadlines.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, presenting design solutions and addressing feedback.
• Mentor junior architects and support design review processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of design standards and processes.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in architecture with proven experience on hospitality projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; professional licensure is a plus.
• Demonstrated project‑management capabilities for complex, multi‑phase developments.
• Experience working on hospitality projects in the MENA region is preferred.
