About the role

We are seeking a Senior Machine Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical systems. The role focuses on precision, manufacturability, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop machines, mechanisms, and assemblies with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency and reliability.
  • Perform stress, kinematics, dynamics and fatigue analyses to validate safety and performance.
  • Create detailed CAD models, assemblies, technical drawings, BOMs and work instructions following ISO/ASME standards.
  • Apply GD&T for tolerance control and integrate sheet‑metal, weldments, castings, forgings and additive manufacturing features.
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Support prototyping, testing and design validation activities.
  • Manage documentation, version control and revisions using PLM/ERP systems.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7–15 years of experience in machine design, mechanical systems or industrial equipment.
  • Hands‑on exposure to manufacturing processes, prototyping and automation projects.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (parts, assemblies, drawings, iLogic, Frame Generator) and AutoCAD Mechanical.
  • Experience using Vault for data management.
  • Knowledge of FEA, CFD and thermal simulation tools.
  • Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) expertise.
  • Familiarity with ISO, ASME, ASTM and OSHA standards.
  • Basic experience with VB.NET, macros or design automation tools (bonus).
