Senior Mechanical Estimator

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Estimator will lead the preparation of cost estimates for mechanical works on construction projects in Cairo. The role involves analysing project documentation, developing budgetary figures and supporting cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and study project documents, including BOQs, drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Prepare comprehensive project summaries and preliminary/budgetary estimates for bid bond purposes.
• Raise technical and commercial queries to resolve discrepancies in project documents.
• Segregate, prepare and issue RFQ packages to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed cost estimation sheets for tendering and bidding.
• Develop budget sheets for awarded projects and support cost‑control activities.
• Coordinate with site teams to prepare variation orders.
• Attend client and consultant meetings to discuss and negotiate variation orders.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for all mechanical systems as required.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical estimation.
• Experience on projects in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
