Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer to lead the sourcing and acquisition of mechanical systems and equipment for large‑scale construction projects. The role combines technical evaluation, vendor negotiation, and supply‑chain coordination to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery while meeting quality and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and related infrastructure equipment.
• Review project specifications, drawings and BOQs to define procurement requirements.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial offers, and negotiate terms.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, planning and commercial teams to align procurement with project schedules.
• Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and monitor market trends.
• Track purchase orders, supplier performance and delivery status, resolving any issues or disputes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project standards and relevant regulations.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses and management updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials and equipment.
• Proven experience on large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
