Senior Permits Engineer

About the role

The Senior Permits Engineer will lead the acquisition of building permits and construction licences for large‑scale projects, ensuring full compliance with Egyptian building regulations and timely approvals from relevant authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Issue building permits and construction licences for major projects.
• Coordinate with the New Communities City Authority and other government entities to follow up on project plans and licence approvals.
• Review technical drawings and engineering documents for compliance with Egyptian Building Codes.
• Collect and prepare all required documentation from internal design and site teams for permit applications.
• Track the status of submitted licences and provide regular progress reports to project management.
• Maintain professional relationships with government officials to accelerate approval and inspection processes.
• Ensure permits are updated and renewed on schedule to avoid legal penalties or site closures.
• Resolve technical comments or objections raised by authorities regarding licences or plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in permits engineering and government relations within the construction industry.
• Deep knowledge of the Egyptian Unified Building Law and regulations of the New Communities City Authority.
• Proven track record of successfully issuing hundreds of permits for large‑scale residential projects.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with government authorities and technical teams.
