Senior Procurement Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Electrical Engineer to lead the sourcing and acquisition of electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for our projects. The role combines technical evaluation, vendor management, cost control, and delivery coordination to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for all electrical materials and equipment.
• Review technical specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs) and project requirements.
• Prepare RFQs, analyse quotations and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and contracts with suppliers.
• Coordinate with engineering, project and finance teams to align procurement with project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines.
• Maintain cost efficiency and support value‑engineering initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a strong supplier database.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement of electrical materials.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, panels, cables, lighting, transformers, etc.
• Experience in technical and commercial bid evaluation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
