Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer will lead the end‑to‑end procurement process for our steel fabrication plant, ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of materials and services. You will work closely with production, engineering, maintenance and logistics teams to support the plant’s operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle from sourcing to purchase order closure.
• Coordinate with internal departments to identify and prioritize procurement needs.
• Source, evaluate and select suppliers based on technical, commercial and quality criteria.
• Prepare RFQs, analyse quotations, negotiate pricing and recommend suppliers.
• Procure steel sheets, flat steel products, fabrication consumables, spare parts and industrial services.
• Monitor steel market trends, pricing indices and supplier performance to optimise costs.
• Issue and follow up purchase orders to ensure on‑time delivery aligned with production schedules.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases and regular reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts and relevant regulations.
• Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience in steel fabrication, metal manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
