Senior Procurement Engineer – MEP

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Engineer specialized in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) to manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for large‑scale construction projects in New Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of MEP materials, equipment and subcontractors, reviewing specifications, drawings, BOQs and technical requirements.
• Source qualified suppliers, maintain vendor relationships and evaluate quotations to achieve best value.
• Lead negotiations on price, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual conditions.
• Coordinate with Technical Office, Project Management and Site Teams to prioritize procurement needs.
• Issue purchase orders, monitor order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain approved vendor database and prepare procurement reports, cost‑saving analyses and market intelligence updates.
• Resolve procurement‑related issues and supply‑chain challenges affecting project progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 6–10 years of procurement experience in the construction industry, with at least 4 years in MEP procurement for large projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, systems and suppliers, including HVAC, fire‑fighting, plumbing, electrical, low‑current and ELV systems.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to review technical submittals, specifications and BOQs.
• Strong analytical and cost‑control capabilities.
