Senior Risk & Compliance Expert

About the role

A leading international non‑profit organization is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Expert to lead the development and continuous improvement of enterprise‑wide risk management and compliance frameworks. The role provides strategic advisory support to senior leadership, helping to strengthen governance, compliance and organisational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise risk management and compliance policies, methodologies and standards.
• Provide expert advisory services to senior management on risk, compliance, governance and internal control matters.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk and compliance programmes and recommend strategic improvements.
• Lead specialised studies on strategic, operational, financial, legal, technology and reputational risks.
• Review and approve risk identification, assessment and classification methodologies.
• Advise on risks associated with strategic projects, transformations, partnerships and new initiatives.
• Support the design of governance frameworks and internal control systems aligned with international best practices.
• Assess compliance with regulatory, legislative and governance requirements and propose enhancements.
• Prepare executive reports, studies and technical papers for senior management and committees.
• Represent the organisation in risk, compliance and governance forums and working groups.
• Develop enterprise risk and compliance performance indicators and monitor emerging regulatory trends.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Risk Management, Compliance, Governance or Internal Audit (preferred).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in risk management, compliance, governance or internal control, with at least 5 years in senior advisory or leadership roles.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise‑wide risk and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, research and strategic thinking abilities.
