Senior SecOps Detection Engineer – Cyber Security

About the role

Deloitte Innovation Hub is seeking a Senior SecOps Detection Engineer to join its Cyber Security portfolio in Cairo. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining and enhancing the CSOC platform stack, ensuring robust detection and response capabilities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and support CSOC platforms such as SIEM, SOAR and EDR.
• Design, develop and fine‑tune security content, including use cases, detection rules, correlation logic and alert conditions.
• Build and manage logging infrastructure to achieve full telemetry coverage, handling log source onboarding, parsing, normalization and enrichment.
• Map detection coverage to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and report gaps.
• Create SOAR playbooks and automation scripts for alert enrichment and incident response.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to propose new detection ideas based on research and attack simulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a security operations center (SOC) or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence and detection methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality security content.
