Senior Security Engineer – Cloud & Platform (Bangkok)

About the role

Agoda is seeking a hands‑on Senior Security Engineer to protect its cloud and platform environments. The role is based in Bangkok and works closely with engineering teams to embed security into infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, and custom services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage secure cloud deployments on AWS and GCP using Terraform.
• Deploy and operate internal and third‑party security products within Kubernetes, leveraging GitOps tools such as Argo CD, Flux and Helm.
• Build security automation and custom tooling in Go and TypeScript.
• Identify, analyse and remediate cloud misconfigurations proactively.
• Provide secure architecture guidance to engineering teams.
• Create and optimise cloud‑native detection rules and alerting pipelines for suspicious activity in cloud and container workloads.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security or platform engineering.
• Hands‑on experience securing production workloads in AWS and GCP.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes security, Helm deployments and GitOps workflows.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) required.
