Senior Software Developer - PHP

About the role

VOIS, the strategic arm of Vodafone Group, is looking for a Senior Software Developer specialized in PHP to design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend systems. You will work within a global team delivering intelligent solutions for telecom customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure backend services using PHP and Symfony.
• Translate business and functional requirements into clean, maintainable code.
• Apply SOLID principles, OOP, MVC and Symfony best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Own complex features from design through deployment and post‑release support.
• Ensure solutions follow clean‑architecture principles for long‑term maintainability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of code quality, system performance and engineering processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience with PHP and related frameworks.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with secure coding practices and security concepts.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code that meets industry standards.
• Experience in software and database design, including optimisation techniques.
