Senior T24 Developer

About the role

Advansys, a solutions provider serving 100+ enterprise customers across 14 countries, is hiring a Senior T24 Developer in Cairo. The role designs and implements new functionality and enhancements based on logged user change requests, resolves production incidents and works with project teams to define and document the infrastructure that meets the bank's needs.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and effective ones within project constraints
• Identify and communicate functional issues and risks, and take part in infrastructure design reviews
• Define system scope and objectives, coach colleagues on system functionality and promote sound engineering practices
• Analyze complex application issues, revise existing system logic and documentation, and act as liaison between application systems and business

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; prior leadership experience in a technology company is a must
• 2 to 4 years of technical development management experience, including 2 to 4 years as an IT practitioner covering planning, installation, configuration and implementation of server-based environments
• Familiarity with PMO activities, including managing development teams and large-scale implementations
• Very good written and spoken Arabic and English

Required skills

• Mandatory: very good understanding of T24/Globus modules, with 2 to 4 years of T24 core banking experience and over 4 years of T24 implementations, including at least two with private banking clients
• Preferred: T24 performance tuning, deep knowledge of banking and retail/corporate banking processes, and knowledge of T24 components such as TCServer, JBase, Enquiries, mainline routines and TSM services
• Strong working knowledge of jBASE and UNIX; knowledge of system and hardware architecture is a plus
• Application and interface design, development and implementation, and multi-company setups (COB processing, enquiry and version design, data migration tools, build control)
