Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant with at least three years of hands‑on experience in corporate, individual and indirect taxation. The role is based on the Nile Corniche and will focus on ensuring full tax compliance and maintaining a strong relationship with the Egyptian Tax Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns, guaranteeing accuracy and timely filing.
• Manage VAT filings, reconciliations and ensure compliance with ETA requirements.
• Oversee payroll and withholding tax processes, confirming correct deductions and submissions.
• Handle tax inspections, audits and all official communications with the Tax Authority.
• Stay current on tax legislation, circulars and regulatory updates affecting the company.
• Utilise the ETA e‑Portal for all filings and documentation.
• Provide tax advisory and planning support to optimise tax efficiency.
• Conduct tax reconciliations and variance analyses, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of practical taxation experience in a corporate or consultancy setting.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, regulations and compliance procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review tax returns across multiple tax types.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with the ETA electronic tax system.
• Solid understanding of VAT, Payroll Tax and Withholding Tax frameworks.
• Proficiency in tax return preparation and review.
• Ability to conduct tax reconciliations and variance analysis.
