Senior Tendering Engineer (Civil)

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in energy, marine, infrastructure and defence and security projects, is looking for a full-time Senior Tendering Engineer (Civil) to join its Cairo office in Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse tender specifications, drawings and documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs
• Develop detailed cost estimates including direct and indirect costs
• Prepare and evaluate material and subcontractor enquiries and quotations
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
• Assist in preparing tender schedules and Level 2 programs
• Support the preparation of technical submittals and coordinate with internal departments for tender inputs
• Prepare cost estimation reports and present them to management
• Conduct risk and opportunity analysis, and prepare preliminary budgets and cash flow scenarios
• Assist in contractual reviews, commercial evaluations and joint venture / consortium tender coordination

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• 10+ years of experience in the construction industry
• Strong background in quantity surveying, cost estimation and technical office work
• Previous exposure to tendering and pre-contract activities
• Good understanding of contracts, variations and commercial aspects
• Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, ability to work under pressure and to coordinate across teams
• Very good command of English
