Senior Universal Operations Officer - Branches

About the role

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait is hiring a Branches Senior Universal Operations Officer in Cairo. The role covers both cash and non-cash operations in the branch, including cheque and cash transactions, document processing, end-of-day reconciliations, customer service and sales lead identification.

Key responsibilities

• Cash: handle cheque collection requests and draft cheque issuance; process cash transactions after verifying signatures, dates, amounts, account funds and ID checks
• Money transfers: handle internal transfers within the same account or to other PBE accounts
• Document processing: process cash-related documents accurately and promptly using bank systems and keep them up to date
• Reconciliations: perform end-of-day reconciliations accurately and on time
• Compliance: ensure all activities comply with corporate governance and regulatory/legal frameworks
• Sales: identify sales leads by talking to customers and directing them to the sales team in the branch
• Customer service: reduce complaints, act as the first line of the retention strategy for customers wanting to close accounts, and prepare the queuing system before opening
• Complaints: resolve customer issues and escalate those beyond your authority
• Customer requests: process requests and coordinate account documentation such as mandates and application forms
• Documentation: complete paperwork for commercial and retail transactions such as transfers, deposits, drafts, KYC updates, stop payments, statements, mobile wallet and e-banking cross-selling, and deceased accounts
• Customer administration and records: send, receive and file confirmations, hold customer documents, and create and maintain accurate customer records
• Non-cash transactions: process IDCs, LGs and LCs, outgoing transfers, stop payments and print statements

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in a branch environment
• Experience in various banking roles, including retail banking and operations
