Shipping Operations Specialist – Logistics

About the role

The company is seeking a Shipping Operations Specialist to join its logistics team at the Sheraton Heliopolis office. The role involves managing end‑to‑end shipping processes, handling customs clearance, and coordinating with international shipping lines and agents to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with shipping lines and agents both locally and internationally.
• Source, negotiate and secure preferred rates with customers and customs authorities.
• Lead, motivate and coach the operations team to achieve high quality and performance standards.
• Handle client inquiries, oversee documentation and ensure compliance throughout the shipping cycle.
• Utilise the Nafeeza website for operational tasks and data entry.
• Coordinate shipment documentation, track cargo status and resolve any issues that arise during transit.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of experience in shipping operations or customs clearance.
• Very good command of English.
• Ability to work onsite in Heliopolis and adapt to a fast‑paced logistics environment.
