Shopping Experience Assistant – Cairo Festival City

About the role

The Shopping Experience Assistant works in IKEA’s Smaland play area at Cairo Festival City, delivering a safe and enjoyable environment for children and a friendly experience for their parents. You will represent the IKEA brand, ensuring high standards of customer service and child safety.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome mothers/guardians and their children upon arrival.
• Explain Smaland admission policies clearly and professionally.
• Organise and lead age‑appropriate activities according to the commercial calendar.
• Prioritise child safety at all times and monitor the play area.
• Make announcements and address any issues that arise in the playroom.
• Handle routine customer complaints promptly and courteously.
• Provide information and assistance at the store’s information desk as needed.
• Follow all system and emergency procedures and brief the Duty Manager on escalated matters.

Required profile

• High School diploma.
• Local qualification in Child Care meeting country standards.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar customer‑service or child‑care role.
