Signaling Technician

About the role

The Signaling Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the signaling systems used on Cairo Metro Line 3. Working in the Abasia and Salam depot workshops as well as at stations, you will ensure all indoor and outdoor signaling equipment operates safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on signals, beacons, point machines, track circuits, IXL components and ATC wayside & onboard equipment.
• Assist signaling engineers and supervisors with installation, calibration, testing and warranty services.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot defective equipment and implement effective solutions.
• Carry out emergency repairs promptly and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Maintain daily logs, record maintenance activities and report to management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Support budget preparation and monitor adherence to safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in metro or railway signaling maintenance is a plus.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a rail or industrial environment.
• Ability to work autonomously, follow safety rules and flexibly handle after‑hours work.
