Software Development Engineer 2 Frontend

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer 2 focused on frontend to join Everyday Labs, the innovation arm of noon. You will build high‑impact, user‑facing features for fintech and e‑commerce products that serve millions of customers across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own complex, user‑facing features end‑to‑end, turning UI/UX wireframes into responsive, high‑quality production code.
• Ensure application performance and scalability by identifying and resolving technical bottlenecks.
• Collaborate closely with backend teams on API design and integration.
• Participate in code reviews and help define coding standards.
• Maintain cross‑browser compatibility and accessibility for high‑stakes onboarding and financing flows.

Required profile

• Proven ability to translate intricate UI/UX specifications into production‑ready frontend components.
• Experience working on fintech or e‑commerce platforms is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work autonomously within a fast‑growing team.

Required skills

• HTML5 and CSS3
• Modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
• React or Svelte frameworks
• Meta‑frameworks such as NextJS
• Component‑based architecture and state management (e.g., Zustand)
• RESTful API integration
• Version control with Git
• Modern build tools and basic CI/CD on cloud environments
• Data‑visualisation libraries (D3.js or Recharts) – nice to have
• Real‑time communication tools (WebSockets) – nice to have
• Integration testing for complex components – nice to have
