Software Engineer – Embedded Automotive (Light)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and integrate embedded software for automotive projects with a high reuse factor. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, system architects, and customers to deliver high‑quality, ASPICE‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and consolidate stakeholder requirements, identify conflicts, and perform requirement analysis.
• Define high‑level architecture and design for new products, especially those with high reuse.
• Design and implement complex software components in C/C++ and integrate them according to the project architecture.
• Conduct technical reviews of design, code, and test artifacts; develop test strategies and plans.
• Participate in daily and weekly project meetings with internal teams and external sites.
• Develop work breakdown structures and contribute to activity estimations.
• Support software integration on test benches and vehicles, analyze test reports, and lead issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with ASPICE processes and improve standard procedures, guidelines, and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in automotive embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of quality processes in automotive or embedded systems, including ASPICE.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Python scripting.
• Experience with microcontrollers such as Renesas, NXP, Aurix.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR concepts (service‑oriented communication, lifecycle management) – a plus.
• Proficiency with Vector tools (CANoe, DaVinci, VTest Studio) and automotive communication protocols (LIN, CAN, Ethernet).
• Hardware interfacing protocols: UART, SPI, I2C.
• Version control (Git) and application lifecycle management tools (Codebeamer).
• Requirements management tools (Codebeamer, DOORS).
• Debugging equipment such as oscilloscopes and logical analyzers.
