Software Engineer – Founding Engineer for AI-powered Rental Platform

About the role

We are looking for a highly ambitious Software Engineer to join The Flex as a founding member. You will help build and scale Base360.ai, our AI‑driven operating system that powers modern renting, and deliver products that impact thousands of guests and properties worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and scale the Core Platform (Base360.ai) including APIs, services, and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Build internal products, automation engines, and AI‑powered workflows that eliminate manual work.
• Design and implement event‑driven workflows and real‑time reservation synchronization.
• Create robust API‑first integrations with partners such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI and Google.
• Develop dynamic pricing intelligence, smart‑key management, automated guest communication, and operational forecasting.
• Deploy and maintain serverless infrastructure on AWS, ensuring reliability and global performance.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from concept through deployment and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong experience building production‑grade software systems.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Python, React or comparable frameworks.
• Deep understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.
• Experience designing scalable backend services.
• Passion for automation, AI agents, and building products from the ground up.
