Software Engineer (.NET) – Backend Fintech Platform

About the role

Swisstech is looking for a .NET Software Engineer to join its core engineering team. You will design and build backend services that power secure, multi‑tenant fintech platforms used by financial institutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in .NET Core.
• Own end‑to‑end service lifecycle, from architecture to production monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on technical decisions.
• Implement event‑driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ or Azure Event Grid.
• Ensure data isolation and configurability for multi‑tenant environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and cloud deployment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on backend development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong system‑design instincts for secure, fault‑tolerant services.
• Ability to work independently in fast‑moving or ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• .NET Core (C#)
• PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server
• Redis (caching, deduplication, lightweight queues)
• Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar message brokers
• Docker and Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service a plus)
• Azure cloud services and Azure Pipelines
• OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki for observability
• TypeScript for integration layers
• Familiarity with Go or Rust (optional)
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault or secure key‑management tools (optional)
