Sound & Light Technician – Resort Entertainment

About the role

The Sound & Light Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining all audio, lighting and visual equipment across the resort’s venues, including the theatre, beach, pool, lounges and event spaces. You will work closely with the Entertainment Team to ensure seamless shows, performances and guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain audio, lighting and visual equipment for daily activities, evening shows and special events.
• Collaborate with the Entertainment Team to deliver themed nights, gala dinners and large‑scale productions.
• Conduct sound checks and lighting tests before each event to guarantee optimal performance.
• Provide technical support for DJs, live performers and external entertainers.
• Adjust lighting effects and sound levels in real‑time based on show flow and audience engagement.
• Coordinate with DJs, animators, performers and event hosts to ensure smooth execution.
• Follow safety standards and operational procedures when handling technical equipment.
• Respond to guest music or technical requests when appropriate.

Required profile

• Presentable, professional and guest‑oriented personality.
• Strong technical understanding of audio, lighting and AV systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in basic computer systems; knowledge of sound/lighting software is a plus.
• Ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently and professionally.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude, high responsibility, reliability and adaptability.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
