Sourcing Specialist – Agricultural Chemicals

About the role

The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for procuring raw materials, active ingredients, packaging, and other supplies needed for Dakahlia Group’s agricultural chemicals business. You will ensure the right mix of quality, cost, availability, and delivery while maintaining strong relationships with both local and international suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers for agricultural chemicals and related materials.
• Source active ingredients, technical materials, solvents, additives, formulations, and packaging.
• Conduct market research to discover new suppliers, alternative materials, and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Obtain and analyse quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, MOQs and commercial conditions.
• Prepare sourcing comparisons and recommend suppliers based on price, quality, technical specs, reliability and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Planning, Finance and Logistics to define and fulfil sourcing requirements.
• Follow up purchase orders and supplier commitments to avoid production interruptions.
• Monitor international market trends, commodity prices, exchange rates and freight costs.
• Maintain a reliable supplier database with capabilities, certifications, prices, lead times and performance history.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and periodic performance reviews covering quality, delivery, cost and compliance.
• Support qualification and onboarding of new suppliers in collaboration with Quality and Regulatory teams.
• Ensure sourced materials meet approved specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work with Quality Control and Assurance to resolve material quality issues and non‑conformities.
• Identify alternative sources to minimise supply‑chain risks.
• Support cost‑reduction and value‑engineering initiatives through negotiations and market benchmarking.
• Maintain accurate sourcing records, quotations, contracts and commercial data.
• Assist import purchasing activities by coordinating with suppliers, logistics and internal functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing raw materials for agricultural chemicals.
• Ability to evaluate and manage supplier performance.
• Strong coordination skills with cross‑functional teams such as Production, Quality, R&D and Logistics.
