Sr. Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain robust server‑side logic and APIs that power our web applications. You will work closely with front‑end engineers to ensure seamless data flow and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug both front‑end and back‑end components of web applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and server‑side logic using Java or Python.
• Design and optimise database schemas and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Integrate third‑party services, APIs, and external systems.
• Conduct unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing to guarantee reliability, performance, and security.
• Participate in architectural discussions, focusing on scalability and system performance.
• Deploy applications to production, configure servers, and monitor health and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicate progress and technical concepts to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Strong background in back‑end development with Java or Python and related frameworks.
• Experience designing relational database schemas and writing efficient queries.
