Staff Software Engineer, iOS

About the role

Procore is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the iOS side of its Mobile Project Management Quality and Safety platform. Based in Cairo, the role combines deep technical ownership with mentorship, driving the architecture and delivery of high‑impact features that help construction teams manage projects and safety on the jobsite.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority for iOS architecture and best‑practice standards across the Mobile Project Management Quality and Safety team.
• Design, build, and ship complex, high‑impact iOS features while improving performance, reliability, and maintainability of the codebase.
• Define and enforce technical and procedural standards, guiding key architectural decisions.
• Identify large‑scale technical challenges and coordinate the team to resolve them.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and hands‑on coaching.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to translate customer requirements into scalable solutions.
• Own the full feature lifecycle, including production support and incident resolution.
• Leverage generative AI tools and agentic workflows to advance the future of construction technology.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years developing native iOS applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in iOS architecture and a track record of delivering large‑scale mobile products.
• Product‑oriented mindset; experience with mobile automation is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to set technical standards and guide architectural decisions.
• Strong mentorship and collaboration skills.
