Steel Structural Engineer – Design & Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Steel Structural Engineer to join our technical office in Nasr City, Cairo. You will be responsible for developing detailed designs, calculations and documentation for steel structures, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Study and review preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Prepare and issue assembly and shop drawings for assigned tasks.
• Perform load and stress calculations, select appropriate construction materials.
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
• Develop design specifications, calculation notes and studies for steel structures, crane girders and related components.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor progress against plans.
• Ensure workshop receives complete documentation and materials.
• Inspect work, prepare compliance reports and guarantee quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a technical office, preferably with steel structures.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Project for scheduling.
• Knowledge of SAP2000 structural analysis (advantage).
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
