Storekeeper – Construction Site Materials Management

About the role

The Storekeeper will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials on a construction site, ensuring that project requirements are met while maintaining accurate inventory records and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit daily material receiving reports (MRR) and inventory status reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and Project Manager.
• Manage all warehouse operations including receiving, issuing, returns, and transfers of a wide range of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain stock cards and ensure consistency with the Oracle ERP system.
• Monitor stock levels, generate minimum‑stock alerts, and track slow‑moving, obsolete, or expiring items.
• Ensure items are stored according to manufacturer instructions and HSE policies, keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
• Coordinate with QC for inspection of incoming items before final acceptance.
• Supervise warehouse assistants and laborers, providing performance reports twice a year.
• Prepare monthly inventory transaction reports for each material category.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehousing environment, preferably on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and HSE regulations.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and maintain documentation.
• Good communication skills for interaction with project managers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle ERP for inventory management.
• Experience in generating inventory, consumption, and age reports.
• Understanding of material handling, storage guidelines, and safety standards.
