Structural Design Engineer

About the role

IEC – Inter Built Engineering Consulting is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Structural Design Engineer to join its Al Jizah office in Egypt. You will develop and review structural designs and drawings for building and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with architectural, MEP and project management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and calculations for various projects.
• Prepare, revise and maintain CAD and AutoCAD models and drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Produce technical reports, design documentation and bills of quantities.
• Support site teams with design clarifications and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in structural engineering and analysis for buildings.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials and relevant design codes.
• Ability to interpret architectural, MEP and shop drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
