Structural Design Engineer – Residential & Commercial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to develop and design structural systems for residential and commercial projects in New Cairo. The role involves ensuring compliance with international codes, producing detailed drawings, and supporting construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design structural systems for residential and commercial projects, adhering to international codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using advanced design software.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct structural analysis and simulations to assess load, stability, and safety.
• Review and approve technical documentation, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Identify and resolve design challenges, proposing innovative and cost‑effective solutions.
• Ensure designs meet environmental, safety, and sustainability guidelines.
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning for structural tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD.
• Proficiency in SAP2000.
• Design of reinforced concrete and pre‑stressed concrete structures.
• Ability to independently execute designs and review technical documents.
